Chef Matt Ginn Wins Food Network's 'Chopped' Episode

 Matt Ginn, chef at Evo Kitchen + Bar in Portland and the 2015 Maine Lobster Chef of the Year, won the episode and a $10,000 prize on Food Network’s “Chopped” Tuesday night.  Chef Matt Ginn, shown in 2015 when he won Maine Lobster Chef of the Year, won on an episode of “Chopped” that aired Tuesday night.   Ginn’s episode, “Room for ‘Shrooms,” aired at 9 p.m. on the Food Network. Evo invited the public to cheer for Ginn at a viewing party Tuesday evening in the downstairs portion in the restaurant, where the show streamed while small bites and drink specials were served. Part-time Mainer Martha Stewart was one of the celebrity judges critiquing Ginn’s food.  “It feels great to be a Chopped champion,” he said at the end of the episode. “I just did a three-course dinner for Martha Stewart and two Iron Chefs.”
